Group Size: Up to 18 participants
Length of Program: One Day

The Need
Nearly all employees in today's organizations contribute as members of special or ongoing teams. All team members need a clearer understanding of their roles in the team effort, a better grasp of group process and dynamics, and more effective methods for working through problems in team activities. Without these skills, team performance falls short of its potential and affects organizational synergy.

Objectives
 • To help participants define and understand the role they currently play on their work teams
 • To increase trust and openness in team communications
 • To maximize internal team performance
 • To increase the ability to communicate with others in vertical or matrix organizations

Program Content
 • The roles individuals play in groups and how these roles impact performance
 • Stages of group development - from orientation to effective teamwork
 • The Dynamics of Trust: Team interdependence
 • The team mandate ... a consensus exercise
 • Defining tasks and assigning responsibilities
 • Hands-on application of team skills to real-world team task
 • Feedback: Evaluating the team's progress
