PMP® (Project Management Professional) Exam Preparation


Target Population: Project managers, team members, and support staff who are interested in obtaining PMP® certification through the PMI (Project Management Institute). Participants should have at least three years experience either leading or directing project work or, at a minimum, a moderate level of responsibility in this regard for this period of time. They should also be ready to supplement this program with additional individual study time, in order to adequately prepare for the exam.

The Need
Preparing for (and ultimately passing!) the PMP® exam is a major challenge for project managers. This program covers all the required project management knowledge areas, in addition to test taking techniques and practice questions. Individuals who complete this program will dramatically improve their chances of passing. This program also satisfies the 35 hour training requirement for an applicant to be eligible to sit for the exam.

Objectives
 • To understand key project management concepts, tools, and outputs that may
    appear on the certification exam.
 • To identify common pitfalls test-takers face and how to avoid them
 • To understand how to calculate answers using a set of common formulas
 • To know how to apply for the PMP® Exam, based on PMI’s eligibility criteria
 • To learn how to prepare to take the PMP® Exam and know the guidelines required
    for further study, in order to pass the exam
